Focus SB launches Kelly Hoppen Collection
Luxury electrical accessory manufacturer Focus SB and celebrated interior designer Kelly Hoppen MBE, have joined forces to debut a collection of design-led 'wall jewellery', designer electrical wiring accessories that are primed for the UK and China luxury hospitality and residential markets.
Whilst many houses and hotels would wish to have Kelly Hoppen's services, this collaboration offers Focus SB's clients Hoppen's charming warmth and sumptuous opulence, made exclusively in Focus SB's headquarters in St Leonards-on-sea.
The Idea
Following several meetings to discuss the potential collaboration, this new eye-catching, cutting-edge collection ‘Kelly Hoppen by Focus SB’ came about as a result of a brainstorming session between Focus SB’s managing director, Gary Stevens, and the company’s highly experienced new product development team.
Stripped back to basics, focusing on the company’s target market taking the lead from the future of modern interiors, the team carefully considered their main target audience for a new collection, and who would complement and add to the Focus SB mission across the UK and overseas.
Kelly Hoppen emerged as the obvious choice, not just because of her high public profile, or her minimalist approach to interior design but also because, in synergy with Focus SB, Hoppen understood and encouraged the growth of her own business in the Chinese market.

It’s clear to the product development team at Focus SB that Kelly and her team recognise the important link between interior design and product design, having developed an impressive portfolio of collaborations with the likes of Brintons, Chesneys and Crosswater.

“Interior fittings such as light switches and plug sockets are often not considered until the end of a project, but these details can add an extra touch and shouldn’t be overlooked.
“The world of electrical wiring accessories is generally very conservative, but I wanted to create something that would very much be part of the overall design, introducing jewellery-like details and alternative finishes. This collaboration with Focus SB introduces a new aesthetic to electrical fittings in a way we haven’t previously seen.”
The Kelly Hoppen by Focus SB plate styles will be launched at one of Asia’s leading international design events, Design Shanghai in March 2020. Kelly Hoppen will be present for the launch of the new collection at Design Shanghai, where she will also be launching The Kelly Hoppen International Design Awards co-hosted by renowned architect, interior and product designer Steve Leung.
