Bexhill development brought forward with nearly £2m funding

After the finalisation of funding from South East Local Enterprise Partnership, the first phase of development of 84,000 sq ft of light industrial floorspace on Bexhill Enterprise Park North has been approved.

Aiming to complete the priority phase by Spring 2022, Westcott Leach and Seachange Sussex will work together to create an employment space that will support up to 500 jobs.

£1.94 million of government funding for the scheme’s ‘enabling works’ had been allocated by the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) this summer, pending a grant agreement to be concluded between East Sussex County Council and Seachange for the funds to be released.

Seachange will be building the road that will serve the future industrial units, with the aim to complete this preparatory phase by spring 2022, before enabling developer Westcott Leach to start construction on the units.
